I think that prior to 2006 there was a widely publicized issue with rust - since then I believe that they have been Galvanized and that bogey has been well and truly laid to rest - certainly none of mine (all later than 2007) have given me any issues. PLUS my new one in Indium Grey (real world...
Picked up my Sport - lots of changes to the old one - first impressions / comments. They've moved the bloody key to the left hand side of the steering wheel. I spend 5 minutes trying to push my key into the air vent!! RH stalk mounted gear select. Super light steering - great steering wheel...
I think that the new Transit looks really good, and if I'm honest I prefer the look of 'some' of the new Transporters, just not sure why they can look so different..
The Vito needed a bit of an update/facelift and the new look is more bullish and I think as Gvm said it's a grower. It was...
My new Vito Sport 119 Crew Van has arrived - first time I have not chosen a black one and I'm quite liking it in Indium Grey. Must be getting old!
Confidently expecting a sensible woolly cardy and some slippers for Christmas :-)
Possibly picking it up at the end of the week.
Hey Bill - how's it going - where's that 8 years gone? The new Vans are still 'Sportified' by MB in the UK, at least thats what I have been told. There does not seem to be too much info out there on the new ones. I may be wrong but I think that the 'collaboration' is now on the Renault powered...
Just about to take delivery of the new 119 Sport. Next week :-) This will be my 3rd Vito, 2nd Sport. 1st Vito was a 120 V6, all are autos, all Duo liners although the new one is designated Crew Van.
I love them. All have been faultless, practical family / fun buses that lug my bikes...
This is the official line -

badging, front fog lamps with trims, rear tailgate trim and five-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside the vehicle, comfort is paramount with air-conditioning, comfort driver and...
Been a while since I have been in 'New Van Mode' - waiting for the 2015 Vito crew bus (old Dualiner) then had to wait till they launched the Sport model. 1st production run in October - mine is now in the system 7speed auto box in Indium grey - with options - cant wait!!
Many thanks all - I'm talking to Rygor at the moment - I see that the MB van site has some very superficial Sport info but the links end up with the old model. Sports cant be that far away.
Is it me - there seems to be an amazing lack of up to date info on the new Vito. I'm pretty much a dead cert for the new Sport just not sure which one and there's not much real world info out there on the existing buses! I want another Dualiner (now crew van). They're euro 6 but thats it? Come...
Just a quick add to this thread my old Vito 120 would give a very best 'average' of 30mpg in absolutely ideal conditions - very gentle acceleration - never exceeding 70mph - wasted on such a motor. Driving sensibly my average was 27.2. I now have the new Vito 116 Sport auto. Same driving styles...
Hi all - I had a 2007 Vito 120 for nearly three years, amazing van and I thought that fuel consumption was acceptable averaging 27.2mpg.
I now have a New 116 Sport with auto. Have to say I barely notice the difference in general driving performance, it's still pretty quick if you gun it hard...
Nope - I still see her quite frequently and given that I can hear the surf from my house - have a tidal river outside, spent three years filling the thing up with damp wetsuits and boards she still looks good as new. Should never have sold it.
