So this morning the mirrors on the loan W204 I have at the moment would not open. Water had frozen on the exposed part of base/pivot point of the mirror preventing it from opening on both sides. I had to chip off the ice and push them both open while pressing the button!!! Felt a bit silly doing...

Driving along hood up but windows open a bit and got behind a bus giving off black smoke. Selected recirc to keep out the fumes and by holding the button in the windows close. Pressing again and holding, the windows open to where they were before. Clever Merc.
