Guys, I've only just gone an effing broke my Navigation!!! :doh: A friend of mine borrowed me his DVD to see if it works in my unit, however, it didn't and rejected the update. I put my original DVD in the unit in the boot and now all that comes up on the screen is "activating, please wait"...

MB appears to be having a special on 2013/2014 nav dvds at e moment. £100 incl vat as opposed to th normal price of around £200+

Guys, I have a COMAND DVD Version 2011 - 2012 and will be trying it out in my 2004 S55 soon. Hopefully this will update and work. If you guys want this, let me know.

My DVD player keeps coming with errors now with any disc ie dvd or cd . Anyone recommend a decent cleaner? Also if this fails anyone ever had these repaired? Refurbished etc. If please point me in right direction :)

usb dvd rom or blu ray rom wanted will only be used when loading operating systems. anyone got one in the draw. cash or will swop for electrical gear cheers

Having damaged the current DVD I was wondering about putting a previous disc in which will attempt to "update" the system. Will it have any unintended consequences by setting it back to a previous issue?
