Hi what sequence of buttons etc (if in fact you can )do i need to push to find my firmware version on my 2008 320cdi s class w221 and any idea what the latest version is as I was told it was up to date at the dealers but always dubious...Thanks

As I'm booking the E class in for it's suspension recall, I saw someone saying about updating the software to the latest versions. This is what ours says at the moment, is this the latest ? If not, is it standard that they update, or do I have to ask ?

Am I right in thinking that the only way to get a firmware upgrade is via a delaer/independant with a STAR wotsit? You can't just pop a DVD in. I've upgraded maps on the NTG4 I retrofitted but the firmware is still showing 00.20.50_ECE for "NAVI ver." so clearly there is no firmware upgrade...

There is new firmware for COMAND on the W212 and W204 supplied to your local MB dealer with their November 2010 update disks. So those with issues with their W212 navigation routing, it may be worth a trip there. Give it a few days for the disks to filter through their organisation though...
