Hi, I was thinking of getting a fixed towball type of towbar for my Facelift S210 estate with parking sensors fitte in the rear bumper. Will this towbar/towball interfere with the parking sensors?
Thanks,
Lawrence
Sorry for the delay, but we had a ton of entries to go through and check, but we’ve finally chosen a winner – The problem is we don’t know where they entered from (forum, facebook, twitter) So we thought we’d post this on all forums (and email him :D )
The Winner is Tom (aka Iron Hide) who...

When I bought my clk I could not believe the creaking when going over the bumps.
I have now sprayed all roof (cabroilet) and door seals with silicone spray and it has made hell of a difference.
Just thought I would pass this on.
(hopefully in the right section).

Hi,
I had to share this as the relief that has come from curing this problem is for me immense. If I can help just one fellow sufferer then it will be worth the typing.
In recent years in the UK high grip road surfaces have started to appear over the last 30 or so metres approaching traffic...
I got the above failure when applying the brake peddle after 1 or 2 seconds. Anyhoo, after much head scratching and removing the light cluster and multi metering it, I decided to look at the bulb even though it was 'working', the part of the problem that was confusing me was, when the brake...

To start with, I call a deep scratch one that you can easily catch your finger nail with.
Here is my scratch.
Next I masked it up to help me know where the scratch was when I start to sand it.
Here is what I use on scratches, 2000 grit wet and dry paper to remove the scratch, megs...
About a month ago my parents took delivery of their E220 on a 57 plate with approx 38,000 miles on the clock.
Today they received a letter from Mercedes offering a package where by the service costs are covered for the next 2 or 3 years for a monthly premium of £31.
As part of the dealer prep...

Hi all,
Today's fresh niggle with the 211 - no auto-open windows/sunroof. It was a hot day and I knew I would need the car a little later on, so I went out and attempted to open all the windows. As usual, I pressed the unlock fob button and held it down. On this occasion, nothing happened...
The '97 C180 Elegance I recently bought ( and use every day ) had some wear on the seats in the usual places and stains so I have just bought a very nice grey cloth interior complete with door cards etc, from a '99 Elegance to replace it with. When I went to collect it tonight I found it has a...
Had some clunks and "crack" noises coming from the SL roof recently particularly bad when the car is cold - and thought it was going to be the leaking front lock and low hydraulic fluid issues that causes the roof not to be pulled shut fully and is expensive to fix ..
But, good news, it wasnt...
Hi,
My partner was pulled over today by a Police car and was issued a fixed penalty ticket (3 points and £60 fine) for going through a red light.
The car she was driving is registered to myself but she has an insurance policy under her own name on the vehicle.
So the Police officer that...
Anyone running one of the above in the fixed MB cradle - any comments about it?
I just got a 9780 (I hope/assume it will work in the 9700 cradle as it's phyiscally identical to the 9700) and I'd like the fixed cradle as I have one with a Nokia 6310i and it works well. I just didn't expect to...
