I need advice with installing bearings into 124 estate rear hubs. All parts ready on the bench.
Do I press in the bearings into the hub carrier then the hub into the installed bearing? This seems the logical way to do it but just wanted to check before I started...
The hub carrier is...
Hi All
Simple question needing needing expert answer:
Will rear knuckle/hubs from a 1992 300-24 TE fit a 1996 280 estate? Evidence so far is pointing to 'yes they will' but I would like to make sure before I buy them.
Thanks
Tom
Hi All
About to begin swapping out rear subframe on '96 e280 estate. I am looking to buy a couple of used rear hubs to clean up and attach to the new frame. Are rear hubs standard across the years/range or do I need to buy a specific hub for my car/year? I have seen a good one on ebay from...

Hello Everyone,
I have a C230K W203. So far I had to replace front suspension and wheel bearings last week, but I am still getting a knocking on the left hand side front wheel. I jacked it up and there is some play moving the wheel back and forth. It was there before I got the bearings replaced...
Got leather interior from an 03 w203 that looked like it had done v little mileage before being in scrapyard for parts and its been suggested that instead of getting new bearings as we cant fit them, that we get the entire hubs off the scrapped car with discs (as my discs are making a squealing...
Does anyone know if there is a difference between SEC and SEL front wheel hubs. The previous owner of my SEC had the spigots machined to fit the modern after market wheels that were on it and now, even when using the wheel centring tool, I can't get them centred and have an imbalance at speed...
hi
The bearings have gone in both sides of my W124 estate wheels. From asking on here it appears it may be better to just swap over the whole hub assembly instead of messing with the bearings themselves.
does anyone have a pair of rear hubs for a w124 estate which have good bearings and...
A few weeks ago I mentioned I had acquired some e500 wheels (8J x 16 et34). They are shod with the specified tyres 225/55's and are a bit wide in the arches.
So my question is rather than mess with the body work can I either
1. have the hubs "skimmed" so the tyres fit further within the...
Folks,
As you can probably guess I'm spending some quality time and giving my car some well needed TLC!
The hubs of the car (all 4 wheels) are looking rather rusty, a kind of dull brown which is better than the bright orange they were 2 months ago. I know that these can be painted by a...
Going from a wireless/wired hub (Belkin FS07632-4) to a wired hub (NET-LYNX SW8055SX-C)and then on to another wired hub (Netgear DS108) Why is there something in the back of my mind that the connecting cables need to be crossover? I have cable, ends and a crimp tool so easy for me to do
We have tried adding a PCMIA card hub to my laptop and the hard drive attached to wont start to copy then crash. we also added 4 port hubs to two other computers (via the existing USB port) and they didnt work either. Do USB ports need some special magic to actually work??
The look of my wheels tend to be spoilt by the rusty looking disc calipers and hubs. I was thinking about a quick coat of heat resistant black paint. What do you think and would it look really naff if I sprayed the calipers silver?
I don't want it to look like a boy racer's car. :)
