I have just had an outer sill fitted and jacking points repaired on my C43 which involved removing of the front wing. As the wing had typical 202 rust round the wheel arch I took the opportunity to have a new MB wing refitted and sprayed upon reassembly.
My question is how long after...
Hi All, I have just rekindled my affair with Ms Mercedes, a shapely W124 280E.
I want her to look her best and wonder what is the best way to finish her plastic lower trim panels? Can they be polished, Tcut back and treated like the rest of the bodywork?
I know someone knows
I spend 20 years lavishing MER on my cars (mainly classics MG Roadster, Lotus Esprit, sorry no Mercedes – my excuse, if I need one here, is youth) I loved the way MER left the paint on the car so I could polish it some more (very important for a classic car).
More recently I have moved over...
Clayed my car for the for the first time, followed by SRP and some HD wax, then what happens birds start using it for target practice, I'm sure they do it on purpose!

As I've said elsewhere I clayed my car for the first time yesterday. Today I polished the car with what I am informed is a new product.

I have come across descriptions of people applying multiple coats of polish to their cars, presumeably one after another. How much difference does this practice make? For example if you compared two adjacent panels of the same car, one with a single coat of polish and the other with say three...
What is the conventional wisdom on porting, polishing flow testing an M104 head? Will it make much of a difference form stock, or is it really a lot of money for little gain?
My head gasket needs doing and I was wondering of this is something I should consider having done at the same time...

 Just spent 4 hours today washing then waxing the car, ready for the annual hols.I normally stand by Zymol products, but used the Zymol Car Polish - this is the one that smells of coconut/banana if anyone has ever used it before - What a chore - despite been mild and slightly overcast,the...

Right over the years all the cars I've had I've never been a55ed to polish any of them, I know very bad of me.
So I finally decided over this weekend to give it a blast, as it was perfect weather for it.
I used:
Jet wash
Micro-fiber washing glove, looked like mop from...
What wheel polish or wax do people find the best? I currently have some Mer Wheel Wax, with which I am somewhat underwhelmed. Are there better ones out there, or would I be just a well using the Meguirs Synth wax that I use on the rest of the car?
