Ride height changed after steering and suspension work

Hi, my W211 has had some suspension/steering work done on both front wheels which involved taking a lot of the the steering and suspension apart. When the car came back from the garage it looks significantly higher at the front with a large gap between the each front tyre and the wheel arch...

    Ride Drive

Considering taking one of the advanced driving courses offered by this company. They get some good plugs on PH and seem to offer a good combination of advanced road driving and some track driving for fun. Anybody have any experience or thoughts on this? Have also wondered as for the track...

    Ride quality at speed??? w203

Hey all, I have a question about my W203 C270 cdi Avantgarde - the ride is quite firm but generally good until I go over 60 mph where it can get a little unsettled unless the road is very smooth (not many of those about). I am wondering if there I should be checking bushes/shocks etc or if...

My new ride (+ a few USA pics)

With great excitement I approached the rental bays at Orlando airport to see what a premium car would be. It transpires it's a very nearly new Nissan Maxima. Never heard of one? It's fairly large, solidly built and cruises well. 3.5v6 petrol hitched to a CVT gearbox. Plastics are a tad...

    S210 SLS 2002 - One side higher than standard ride height ! ? ! ?

I recently noticed the off side rear of my car is about 20mm or so higher than the rest of the cars ride height. I noticed after changing front springs and shocks with spring rubbers etc.... due to a snapped nearside spring snapping at the bottom. It might not sound much but on an...

    E220 CDi Ride Comfort

Hi Folks. First post and hopefully in the right place. I am a newbie to the forum and (relatively) new to Mercedes. I came from Volvo – V70 and S60 – to a 2005 E220CDi Auto Avantgarde with 103k miles and full history, but not all with Merc dealers. I have had this car for ten months. The car was...

W210 ride and wheels - update

As reported before, my 02 W210 E320 cdi is elegance spec but with sports suspension. The latter, while very effective for such a big car, suffers too much (for my tolerance anyway) from a tendency to crash over bumps and road imperfections, with the fitted 17 inch wheels with Michelin PS3s on...

    w211 rear uneven ride height

Hi, I have just had the rear coil springs replaced because the 'drivers side' had snapped. However, there is still approx 10mm difference on the drivers side verse the passenger side. Both new springs are OEM so are the front springs which were replaced 5wks earlier. I believe the rear springs...

    sweet ride

Drove this last week in the red rock canyon, Las Vegas as part of my 40th birthday present. Acceeleration was amazing and noise was un-describable. Also drove Jag xkr-s, 458 Italia, R8 v10 and Lambo LP560. Ferrari was best to drive but Merc was best experience.

    A Class ride quality?

Just wondering how they are, according to a little googling, some people seem to think they're quite harsh? I'm thinking of getting one for my (very elderly) aunt who has a budget of around £8k. Torn between auto and manual since shes been driving manual for 60 years! something like this looks...

    2003 CL55 ride quality

passenger ride in CLS AMG at MB World Brooklands..wow!

Having realised MB world Brooklands is relatively near where I live, decided to do a holiday trip with son (aged 6). We had a great time, and for a free attraction it is worth a visit if you like your MB. However, if you are prepared to part with some £ there is real fun on tap. I decided to...
