Hey all,
I have a question about my W203 C270 cdi Avantgarde - the ride is quite firm but generally good until I go over 60 mph where it can get a little unsettled unless the road is very smooth (not many of those about). I am wondering if there I should be checking bushes/shocks etc or if...
Hi, I am from India and own a 2005 E270 CDI.
The car is quite old now and was feeling sluggish so I read about this online
tried to reset the transmission control unit using this Holy Crap you guys.....sneaky ECU reset WORKS!!! - MBWorld.org Forums
But after this the car wouldn't...
I recently noticed the off side rear of my car is about 20mm or so higher than the rest of the cars ride height. I noticed after changing front springs and shocks with spring rubbers etc.... due to a snapped nearside spring snapping at the bottom. It might not sound much but on an...

Hi Folks. First post and hopefully in the right place. I am a newbie to the forum and (relatively) new to Mercedes. I came from Volvo – V70 and S60 – to a 2005 E220CDi Auto Avantgarde with 103k miles and full history, but not all with Merc dealers. I have had this car for ten months. The car was...
As reported before, my 02 W210 E320 cdi is elegance spec but with sports suspension. The latter, while very effective for such a big car, suffers too much (for my tolerance anyway) from a tendency to crash over bumps and road imperfections, with the fitted 17 inch wheels with Michelin PS3s on...
Hi,
I have just had the rear coil springs replaced because the 'drivers side' had snapped. However, there is still approx 10mm difference on the drivers side verse the passenger side. Both new springs are OEM so are the front springs which were replaced 5wks earlier.
I believe the rear springs...
Drove this last week in the red rock canyon, Las Vegas as part of my 40th birthday present. Acceeleration was amazing and noise was un-describable. Also drove Jag xkr-s, 458 Italia, R8 v10 and Lambo LP560. Ferrari was best to drive but Merc was best experience.
Just wondering how they are, according to a little googling, some people seem to think they're quite harsh?
I'm thinking of getting one for my (very elderly) aunt who has a budget of around £8k. Torn between auto and manual since shes been driving manual for 60 years!
something like this looks...
I have been driving my newly acquired CL55 on new wheels and tyres for about a week now and have spent a small fortune having other things done on the car since I bought it (new torque converter, engine mounts, gearbox mount, fron suspension arms etc.). The tyre pressures are correct and all...
Having realised MB world Brooklands is relatively near where I live, decided to do a holiday trip with son (aged 6). We had a great time, and for a free attraction it is worth a visit if you like your MB. However, if you are prepared to part with some £ there is real fun on tap. I decided to...
Having made the switch from a W124 estate to a W210 320 cdi quite effortlessly - I love the torque and refinement of the engine, the economy is significantly better in day to day driving and it feels more rigid - I think a single piece dash takes away a lot of creaks and groans, the only thing I...
I fitted lowering links to my 2003 SL55 - it looks perfect.
But then sometimes after driving or after leaving it parked I come back and find the back end raised looking too high. The front remains looking just fine. This is without touching the height settings - leaving it on the lowest...
I have a 208 CLK convertible on a 52 plate. It runs on 17inch AMG wheels with low profile tyres that were on the car when I bought it last. The ride is very harsh and every bump in the road seems to shake through the car. Is this normal for this car or if not can anybody give me some idea what...
Hi All
Your unbiased help please!! I have a BMW 530D sport, thats going so I can get something better fuel economy. The 2009 C class BLUE EFF sport is favourite at the moment - HOWEVER I am concerned about the rumours of the ride quality being very stiff......does anyone know how it compares...
Hi,
I 'm hoping somebody can tell me how to check the ride height on my car which is a E280 cdi sport with normal suspension not the airmatic suspension.
Thanks in advance.
