I've noticed some hidden rust under the rubber seals on the tops of my doors (W210 1999 facelift). I was thinking of removing the door rubbers to make the job of rust treatment easier, but I can't see how to do it. I'd like to take them off and refit them without breaking them. Can...

As a matter of interest how many hours does it take a competent specialist to replace worn valve guide oil seals on a 1991 500SE? How much would the parts cost? Thanks in advance. Piers

Does anyone treat their door & window seals? I seem to remember reading somewhere MB sell "Gummi-Fleige" (?) to keep seals flexible and protected from UV degredation. I apply a littel AutoGlym Vinyl and Rubber treatment, certainly keeps them looking fresh :o but does it do any good? :dk:

i have seen that a few of you have got hold of Viton seals for veg oil machines from somewhere. any clues where? i need to get hold of some for this weekend. Are they standard sizes or all one size to fit what i want them for (replacing seals on fuel lines)?
