has anybody had any problems using the new shell unleaded,i filled up with it last week and my car has started hunting on cold starts for about 30 seconds.it may be somthing else but i remember the other problems with shell fuel that damaged a lot of cylinder heads
I see our local Shell garage is now advertising a litre saving per tank by using their new "fuelsaver" fuel.
Anybody got any results to post.
I do hope it's not going to be a repeat of the "Formula Shell" fiasco from many years ago (for those of us old enough to remember that!)
I see Shell are advertising a "new" diesel (and petrol). I presume this has some additive in it to make it "better"
How does it compare with V-power diesel?
Any ideas?
Anyone have one of these? Is it worth it? And is it best to go for money off fuel vouchers or airmiles or????
I'm sure some of us have the regular Shell Driver's Club Card. Apparently the V-Power Card is invite only and offers double points on V-Power sales. As I understand it you have to buy...
Picked up my 'new' E320cdi from the dealer yesterday. :bannana: It's only just done 11000 miles, so they carried out the first service (oil change!) before I picked it up. On the 'Digital Service Report', they show the oil used as being 'Shell 5W40'. Now I've searched the Shell website and...
I know that Shell's V-Power higher octane fuel can have a slight advantage to some engines such as Evos and Subarus but can the C180 sportcoupe take advantage of the fuels plus points?
I know that my old rover 25 didnt have any advantage of using it but i know that it can have a few cleaning...
Tried this last week and despite typical Manchester weather for a week my car is still shiny and clean. If you are lazy like me I can recommend this. I know these other products that you put on yourself will produce better results but I think the Shell drive-through is pretty good.
Not trying to start up another long thread on whether it works or not...
Promo from Shell offering £1 off 30 litres here : Save money on Shell V-Power or Shell V-Power Diesel - United Kingdom - almost covers the £1.20 extra cost for 30 litres over standard stuff anyway...
Also, most of the...
Just filled up with Shell Diesel (again) and got handed a Shell Drivers Club Card...thought I may as well sign up as I may get something back for all the money I spend with them....took the form home to fill in and then realised that you get 1 point for each litre of fuel, or basically 1 point...
Yeah, I know, I really ought to get a Haynes manual... :o
How do I remove/replace the colour coded shell and surround?
I want to switch the shells on two mirrors, preferably without breaking any of the clips.
Cheers for any help. :)
...in the form of "instant cashback" if you use an Egg credit card for payment. Not a huge amount, but worth having for the zero effort it entails. Details here.
My last service, local MB dealer used Shell Helix..Last year, they were using Mobil 1..
Which is actually better..or is there another brand which is actually even better.
54'plate W203 - C180K sports pack with Kleemann Header and KBOX..

Since other people are advertising their products on this forum I will mention my oil, particularly since it seems to be the cheapest available!
SHELL HELIX ULTRA DIESEL 5W40 FULLY SYNTHETIC from £2.95 per litre.
I bought a large quantity of this oil in order to obtain a very good price for...
While I bought petrol at Shell station locally two weeks ago, I got my PIN being intercepted. I wonder how many experienced similar problem out there. Then I got a letter from Barclaycard to verify whether these transactions are mine or used fraudulently. They probably been alerted with three...
