squeaking

My CLK recently needed replacmenet lower ball joints for the MOT. However since then, when I turn the car (especially to the left) you always hear a squeaking sound. It's getting annoying now. The mechanic who did the work said it was the brakes. Thing is it never made the sounds before...

I had a service done about 1 month ago and the brake pads were changed. These would squeak on light braking. The mechanic filed them back twice to no avail. Then they were changed and the new ones (different make) still squeak :crazy::mad::confused::confused::confused: Any suggestions ?
