Guys,
Quick question about jacking points.
If I want to place axle stands on the rubber supports behind the front wheels, where do I place the saddle of the trolley jack in order to lift the car?
I want to raise the front of my W202.
Thanks all,
shr.
Hi
The technical idiot requires advice again! I've bought myself a pair of axle stands to carry out some simple work on my W129 (per a previous post) but am unsure where is the best place to position them - there's an awful of plastic under the car and I don't want to damage / bend anything...
Spent Sunday with the wheels off giving them a good clean and painting the brake calipers (well, only got two done :( ). I realised I should really be using axle stands and not the emergency jack, especially as I needed to rotate the rear wheels.
So, where from? I'm not a mechanic and this...
This is what happened to my dads SL500 BEWARE
 Some W**ker decided to get a piece of heavy duty thick sand paper and scrated my dads SL500 on the wing by puting three letters B T G
Does anyone know what BTG stands for.
Is this a GANG or what as this has happend to a few cars down...
I can jack up my W202 using a trolley jack on the rubberised jacking point. But how do I support the car on axle stands on the rear without removing the jack first?
I want to remove the alloy wheels from a 1998 E280 saloon (W210?) for
refurbishing.
Where is the recommended position for axle stands locations
A diagram would be helpful, is there any site which would show this.
