The yanks and us often have different priorities, I’m also aware that some units don’t work with UK 3 or 4g, just looking for info before I jump aboard

Hi,
I want to put a mercedes logo for the boot load part, but somehow I couldn't. Is there anyone who can help me with this issue?
In which directory should I put the bootanimation.zip file?

Hi - just came across this thread. I've just completed my install on my E-Class coupe last week. I've got a 12.5 inch screen. I'm looking for some boot animations for the 12.5 inch screen with 1920*720 resolution. Any links would be much appreciated.I have the same screen in 12 inch and 1920 x 720 resolution.
All you need to do is create a bootanimation.zip and splash.img files and put them on a FAT32 formatted thumb drive less than 32 GB in size.
Create a folder called OEM on the thumb drive and put both files in there.
Then insert the thumb drive into one of the USB ports from the display.
After a few seconds a message will be displayed "Boot animation modified".
Removed the thumb drive and restart the display.
You can go to the "profile import" menu option and select "restart".
Sample Mercedes boot animation for 1920 x 720 screen is attached.

I bought mine from iceboxautos - they sell on eBay as well as their own site. Also - I've come across another site VeeHive - which seem to do similar stuff. If you're doing the install yourself - there are plenty of videos on YouTube and also might be helpful to join the Android Automotive Discord channel.I want one.
What's a good one to get for a C63 W204, 2011 NTG4.5??
Hi I have recently bought the new version from CKMcardesigns.com & other than being a complete headache to position the cables in my W204 2010 pre-facelift (I removed the climate controls to position whilst refitting ) its really good. I use iPhone 11 pro & carplay is built in through an app called ZLINK, you bluetooth connect your phone then everytime you start the car it auto connect & goes into carplay everytime. You can fit a sim card in the side which is needed to use the NAVI app as it just say offline if you dont but thats totally pointless as your phone is connected & google maps works really well through carplay anyway.morning
the car is a W212 with NTG4
as for dongles and stuff i'd like to avoid them.
apple car play would be nice but with a unit like this i wouldn't see the use of it. i was hoping that the actual unit is able to connect to google play and download whatever app i need from there.
the idea is to leave the phone out of my range completelyalthough still not clear how hands free phone connection will be? via NTG4 or via android screen?
