12v power socket

Hi can anyone tell me what the power rating is for the 12v socket in the rear (Estate) on the C-Class please. I know some are rated a 10 amps and that most later designed cars (all makes) have 20 amp rating. But did Merc uprate when they facelifted the C or was it always 20 amp? Cheers guys

It annoys me that that socket in my S204 C220 is only live ignition on - which makes it useless for a small cooler type thing - or charging a phone overnight (as I discovered a while ago on a trip to Ireland!). The only one I've found live ignition off is the one in the centre arm rest that the phone pre-wire is on - great for charging my phone, but no good for wife's phone!
