There are two triangular plastic sealer/panels which are located under the boot lid and just below each side of the rear windscreen. They are two of a number of small different shaped panels surrounding the boot rim/drain chanel to prevent water running off and under the bodywork. The offside panel has been pierced by the repeated closing of the boot lid and water is now running through the hole with early signs of rust.
Mercedes have this morning suggested 'taking it to a body shop'. The actual piece appears to be fixed by a Phillips type screw. Could I pehaps just order the offside triangular piece and replace it myself or is it more complicated than that? Any guidance would be appreciated.
