2001 clk 320 oil filter removal and replacement

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, haivng just bought an 01 CLK 320, my first Merc :bannana:. This is a great site, and already I've picked up some very useful tips. Thank you!

I have a quick questoin, quite possibly the first of many, so please bear with me, over the coming months...

Am going to do an engine oil and filter change, and was wondering two things:

1) What do poeple think about Mann oil filters? Is this a good choice, for this model?

2) What size of oil filter removal tool will I need?

Sorry about the basic question; I;'m anyting but an expert!

Any other local knowledge it;s useful to know regarding this basic bit of DIY gratefully received, for the CLK 320.

Mann filters are fine.

You need a 76mm, 14 flute wrench, amazon carry them at a reasonable price.
