Could anyone please assist before I face the possibility of another astrnomical bill.approx one year ago my 3 year old just outside warranty developed a lack of power fault and would not exceed 3000 rpm .£1,200 (OUCH)a new front exhaust and new injector later I had 12 months of reasonably happy motoring .Today something similiar occurs another total lack of power and 45 mph impossible .Is it me or are modern mercs so badly built .....??It has been in for warranty issues 3 times 4 tyres replaced, service distances seem to be getting smaller and costly (changes from A to B in last 1k).This car has yet to do 40k....any guidance prior to talking to a dealership will be greatly recieved as currently I have no faith in them or their product.

Thanx in advance

LOTS OF BMWS....!!

Problem with the MAS?

When mine would not exceed 3k rpm i replaced MAF, all ok. Also, my ASSYST changed from A to B in last 1k miles, told it was due to different driving style and that car had covered 18k since last service

there is a nack in the assyst in servicing it before 13,300 for a diesel to make sure you get an A service.

That happened to me (after I'd booked the car in for an A service) but I asked the dealer to do an A and they happily did.
Depends on your use etc, but Assyst is only a guide. I think that Assyst looks at the calendar too, and if it thinks the car won't be coming back within a year then it switches to a B.
