2003 c180 remote central locking problem

Hi,

Has any of you guy's had the same problem I am having, ?

I cant get into my car either rf or ir when I leave it for any length of time.
I've changed the batteries in both key's, charged the car battery, removed the battery for a 3 hour period, and still the same.

I can get in on the key and it starts and runs fine, and when I stop it I can lock and un-lock again, but after a while locks me out again. Any help greatly appreciated.

Regarding your car relocking itself after you have locked it then unlocked again, if you have,nt opened either of the front doors the car locking itself is normal, if you were to open and close one of the front doors it would,nt lock.
Regarding the car losing both IR and RF remote locking I can only hazard a guess that it could be a faulty PSE pump or rear SAM unit (if the 203 has one).

The other thing I didnt mention was that the interior lights are not working either, dont know if this is associated in any way.

Was aware that the car locks itself, I should of said it locks me out after I've locked it.

Seems to be a common problem, although hav'nt found any definate reason on here yet.
