2004 W203 C230K Avantgarde

:bannana: looks a nice motor and plenty of optional boxes ticked..:) :) regards jon

Nice to know they crop up every now and then with some decent options; and the black is really growing on me, I didn't really entertain that colour before

great colour..love ob/black...(imo)would prefer light beige interior but black is fine regards jon

Come on, surely anything's better than a Mondeo (joke - I know they are good cars, just lacking a little something on the front of the bonnet)

But seriously (as Phil Collins once sung ...) that's a good spec: Leather, Comand, CD changer, Parktronic and Xenons. Anything more is superfluous in my book. Haven't driven one but I understand the 230K is not exactly slow. My only concern would be the sports suspension - i.e. will it be too harsh? My 320 is on 17" wheels but with standard Avantgarde suspension, and that's nice and comfy for me.

The Mondeo really is good (honestly, esp with the 2.2 TDCi) but I agree completely, it's lacking the star ;)

The W203 I had is the only car I have ever had that I genuinely miss. That says a lot in my book.

I have driven a 230K, it was reasonably rapid :D

lovely!!!

The facelift model and black leather. That will be one very nice place to sit.
And, the 230K model!:D

Get it bought!!

Same here. I really regreted selling my 270CDI, even though I traded it for an E320 (hence my C320!). I suspect the fuel consumption of the 230K may come as a bit if a shock after the Mondy and your 220CDI

Very fair point. I did wonder that for about 10secs when I first saw it; then decided it wouldn't be too bad  :D
should worry about fuel economy you will always find the money for fuel :p :D regards jon

I wouldn't imagine the 230k would be too thirsty judging on my last one. I know this one is newer but still?! :)

I see it already has the club pedals, that's one less job to do...

I daren't drive it in London though ;)

Virtually identical to mine - except the colour and that mine is a 200K. Also yours has bi-Xexons and mine has a sunroof. Price/mileage all very similar. I purposely went for the 200 instead of the 230 BECAUSE of the looming London road tax penalty. Call it what you like, in any language its an additional TAX.
I figured that a 200 would be easier to trade-in when the time comes than a car thats in Band G. It is a big difference and worthy of consideration. I dont know whether its something thats figured in your calculations, and if not, then give it at least a moments thought. Otherwise, its a magnificent car. Looks good in Black too. Not an easy colour to keep clean - specially with all this seasonal salt on the roads, but when clean - WOW!
Here's mine............

Thanks for all your comments. It's a shame as I can't commit to that particular one, but things may be looking up for Spring when I will hopefully be looking at MB-ownership again. It is a desirable spec tho

If i were going back to W203 ownership , i wouldnt hesitate in looking for a C270 CDI. Super engine and plenty power and plenty mpg's to go with it.
