I'm new to all things MB but have taken a liking to the C220 CDi estate. I looked around a 2007 model on a forecourt this evening and everything looked good apart from the fit of the bonnet which sat around 5mm high at the front of the wings, possibly just adjustment of the catch but it led me to look down the cracks between bonnet and wings where I noticed what appeared to be the wing mounting bolts and washers which were grey as opposed to the body colour of black.
Should the wing mounting bolts and washers be the same colour as the body ? If not does this mean the wings have most likely been replaced ?
