2007 cls comand unit upgrade question?

Is it just a matter of unplugging the existing unit and plug in the new one? Or there is more to it?

Aren't those two different versions of COMAND? - NTG1 and NTG2 (or is it more subtle; v2 and NTG2?).

You're best talking to the guys as Comand Online. - They're the experts in retrofitting units.

You will need to get it on STAR and get the cluster coded to 'see' it. also, you will need the boot DVD player & loom + disc if you want Sat Nav.

Aren't those both DVD based units? - That looks a lot like the one I've got in the CLK.

Top one is Audio20, doesn't have DVD

Top one is NTG1 Audio-20CD for W211. Next is COMAND NTG1 for W211

They don't even have the same plug

Easiest would be to get COMAND NTG2.5 for W211 and you'll need an adapter set with microphone, BT antenan etc etc atec.

** Do Not plug a NTG2.5 unit into the Audio-20-CD NTG1 wiring. Bang ! ***
