Hello,
Was wondering if anyone experienced this problem and has a solution.
I have a 2008 CLK 350. The batteries in my key fob keep dying after about 1-2 weeks causing the RF portion of the FOB to stop working.
When I replace them, I am able to lock / unlock the doors and open the trunk via the FOB, but only after depressing the alarm button once.
The alarm has also been randomly going off when I exit the car. Sometimes the only way I can get it to stop is by inserting the key in the ignition.
Ive pulled the circuit board out of the key fob visually inspected it under a microscope. All the solder joints look good.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
