2008 E320 auto-foglight problem

I was delighted to find that my 2008 E320 cdi had lights that are set to Auto. In this instance they come on and switch off automatically. When the headlights come on the front spots also come on, but sometimes it's just one, not always the same one. I have checked and the bulbs are fine - it works manually. I've noticed this on other 2008 Mercs and it is annoying and looks cheap.

Anyone else had same problem and found a fix?

Does it depend upon which way you are steering?

It's just that your car does have lights that do that. You live and learn...read the manual and report back.
