Hi can anyone shed some light on how to connect my ipod or I phone 5 to my C63 ?

On the command menu it has the media interface option so I think it has it as an option but I cant find any usb/ipod sockets

However in the glovebox on the right hand side roof section there is a 2" multiplug ? do you need an adaptor cable to plug in to the car and if so does anyone have any part nos etc. ?

thanks

Grant

3 cables should have been provided with the car when new, all connect to that socket in the roof of the glovebox - 3mm Jack, USB and 32pin iPhone/iPod/iPad connector. Looks like that EBay link.

I presume they do a Lightning connector but you'd have to purchase it.

I was missing the 3 cables when I purchased my C63 probably because of the number of owners these cars have. Tried ordering some genuine ones from eBay but when they arrived they would not recognise my iPhone. Ended up going to the dealer so much easier. They do a iPhone 5 lead but it is only compatible with 2012 and newer models so you'll have to pay a visit to Apple for one of these. image-1952838817.jpg

Many thanks for the help guys , I managed to get this sorted from the dealer that I got the car from.

On another question though , can anyone tell me what the black long thin sensor/display in the very centre top of the dash is for ? it has two amber or red leds that light up in the middle of it ?

Cheers

That would be the display for the front parking sensors. The closer you are to something the more lights. There should be the same display at the rear if you look in the rear view mirror when reversing.
