The existing ML is shorter than an E class so they aren't really big. Just higher than a saloon.

Agreed, it looks horrible. It doesn't have that road presence as the older models. The interior might be nice, but from the outside it looks like some Korean/Japanese crap.

Looks good to me and will look even better in the flesh. Can't see any great similarity to the Hyundai apart from both being 2 box, 4x4 shape. Looks like a fairly natural evolution of the current ML design.

looking at the last picture on the truck it looks very range rover sport kind of shape which is a good thing looks very nice and in the flesh it should look even better.the ml63 looks really good in the pics on the track can't wait to see that beast in the flesh

The interior looks very much to be following the Mercedes family appearance - the square vents etc. The central part of the dash reminds me of the new CLS dash.
I've been thinking of buying a new ML. Question is - hang on for the new model or try and get a decent deal on the current Grand Edition!

Thank god they didn't feel the need to tweak it too much, it is already a great design and this just feels a little fresher without over doing things.

Sure the interior will look great in a normal colour scheme.

I wonder what engine / features that will have. It needs to offer a 35 or even 40mpg engine nowadays. Stop / start 250cdi engine? 7 speed?

Switchable 4wd has to help the above? 95% of the time rear wheel drive would be fine.

I really like the look of that at the moment. The only thing I'm not sure about is the rear clusters being stretched into the boot lid. Having said that I think it's going to be a 'grower'.

Would be interested to see how it looks in the flesh.

Anyone know much about the underpinnings? How similar is it to the W164? Any news on a new GL?
