right lads watch these two videos, the top one first, and comment on which one sounds better, cause from my ears AMG have done so well to make the new 4.0 C63 sound almost identical to the old 6.3 that really you can't tell the difference an that was something i never thought would happen.

they've done well to retain a V8 rumble after passing through the turbo (I'd like to know how) but there is no comparison for me. It would have been nice to hear the new "AMG C63" under load though.

They have done a really good job with that new motor considering the turbos.
It's a little fruitier I think but more bass in the old one sells it to me.

Not had a chance to drive the new 4.0 engine, but based on those clips alone, the 6.2 has a greater range to it's sound which I like. Both sound wonderful though.

I think your right mate. It's very hard to beat the W204 C63 for a stock exhaust sound, anywhere !

Listening to the videos of both this and SLS / GT comparison, I've been trying to work out what the main difference is, especially as in real life the new cars are, if anything, louder and seem to have more interesting 'things' happen.

But you've hit the nail on the head....they both sound good, but the n/a definitely has more range so it sounds like it's doing more at higher revs. The turbos counter with more (admittedly somewhat forced) pops and bangs so they both have interesting features, just different. Let's just be thankful that the future still seems bright......and LOUD
