209 CLK Boot light

Well i'm stumped with this one... My boot light doesnt work, I have checked the bulb and all fuses (I think).. Any ideas?

Wife is away with mine today or I'd check, but is it possibly linked to the light sensor or lights need to be on before it works.
I know my interior lights don't go on unless it is dark.

It also goes out after a time delay if the lid is left open. So....may be a timer lurking somewhere?

I thought you were going to say it was rolling aroung the inside of the bootlid and lens was on the floor then.............

Naah...thats the broke brake light (wot does exactly that).

Ok I have checked this with the lights on, no difference, it still does not work... Anything else to check?
