I think your trying to highlight a very important point that is just too difficult to comprehend?
The population of Gloucester is approximately 110,000 people. One city with just one third of the numbers we are discussing.
HOW ON EARTH WILL THEY OBTAIN SUPPLIES TO COPE WITH THESE NUMBERS?
HOW WILL THEY DISTRIBUTE THIS WATER TO THESE NUMBERS?
Even if they put it into bowsers, where will they get the bowser from to deal with all these folks? Hospitals, old folks homes? Once you start thinking of the logistics, it is mind boggling and I gaurantee every firm will add a premium to their fees.
Just wait until we all go to renew our car insurance, building insurance, contents insurance. If you think these premiums will not increase because we were not effected then I would very respectfully disagree. I certainly would not single out Marks & Spencer. Even folks that hire out boats will no doubt be making a profit from this disaster? Will we be seeing bottled water being flown in by the Red Cross, Red Crescent etc?
