500e backbox

Anyone got any idea if this :-

will just bolt straight onto the mid-section of my 230ce ? will the bore of the exhaust be the same ?

the back box looks the same as the single tailpipe one i have on at the mo ..... might be fun to have a twin pipe box ....

all I'd say is that

a, that back box is not in perfect condition

b, there is no postage costs so expect him to add a considrable amount

c, he's adding 5% paypal surcharge which contravenes ebay's rules

d, as it's got a reserve that distinctly second hand box must be at least £50.

whether or not it will fit. well, very probably yes, as to whether or not it would offer any benefits (even cosmetic), I seriously doubt it.

Looks well dodgy. His engine looks to be running rich too

It could also be like most merc box's,One complete system right back to the cat in which case he would have to cut the pipe about 2 feet from the rear box leaving you with no means of connecting it to your system.Plus I reckon his centre section pipe is likely to be about 1/2" larger diameter than yours.
