Hello All

New this forum but have posted this on other MB forums I use.

Did loads of searching on the net.

My original part number: 0075451932
Replacement part number: 01254527632

On another forum a member having a similar problem has mapped out the pin's on the older ADS Unit.

On the new ADS Unit. the pin out configuration is different. From recollection.

10pins - 2 spaces - 10 pins on the top row.
9 pins - 2 spaces - 9 pins on the bottom row.

Few questions:
1.)Wonder if anyone has mapped out the new ADS Unit in a similar way?

2.) Wonder if a gender bender can be created to connect the new ADS Unit to the old wiring loom?

3.) Does anyone know what parts are needed to connect the new ADS unit to the old system? Answer supplied on a different forum I'm using....

My EPC says when you substitute A0125452632 for A0075451932 then you need the following additional parts.

A1294403105 (cable harness)
A1295405173 (switch)
A0115420517 (sender unit)
A1298209910 (switch)

4.) Does anyone know someone who repairs these modules?

Is there anyone in the UK that fix these.

Jeff

If it's what I think it is Television will be along shortly to tell you nobody knows....if it's not ...ignore me...hope you get it sorted.

This is one major sore point on the R129... i feel for you as ive been having issues with my ASR on the SEC too..

I cant offer anything on this post, I dont think that I have that long to live :(

The last post we had the guy wanted a fault code read out tester, I sent him one free, and he did not even say thank you

Hmm....not terribly polite..

On the other forum I'm a member on I got a link to these chaps in Germany who I'm currently chasing down.

I can get 2nd generation version of the module. But then need to change 4 items and then the cost of implementation.

Haho.... Like the car to much to change it.

My system is locked out at a set ride height as the ADS unit has been taken out and the ride is smooth - damping working. No response to soft/hard switch or low/high level switch when the unit was in...

I am very sorry, it was not meant as an impolite answer, there is a reasonable amount of info on the ADS 11 but not on the 1. It is a massive job updating to the ADS11. Many members here and elsewhere never seem to post back with any cure, one did recently and I will try and find the post

Hello Malcolm

Happy to share the output with all the forums I belong to.

As these cars get older only the MB Specialist seem to have any idea and people on these forums.

Look forward to seeing your reply.

Jeff

Not you....the ingrate(s) without manners who don't show their appreciation of your help....

Hi Malcolm

Read the entire thread.

Seems I need to contact the V12Man ( Dave ) and see how he got on.

Also maybe talk with Citroen as they may have been letting Mercedes build their systems under licence.

From what I understand you want to combine your ADSI system with ADSII components which is not possible from memory.

Hello

There a few questions outstanding
1.)Wonder if anyone has mapped out the new ADS Unit in a similar way?
2.) Wonder if a gender bender can be created to connect the new ADS Unit to the old wiring loom? (Your response is to this one....)
4.)Does anyone know someone who repairs these modules? German chaps can't.

Most modules can be opened and tested cold for everything except IC's

Hope everyone had a good xmas.

Thanks for info - believe I sourced a replacement module in Germany last week.

Awaiting for it to arrive.

Good luck! I also have ADS on my R129, it's very nice but I know it can be very costly to fix if it goes wrong.
