Firstly, I apologise for the lack of exact detail, but would/should a set of 16 in. alloys off a 2008 C-class (saloon, diesel, 2.0 or 2.2 engine - she thinks..; they also fit a 2010 E-Class) with 225/55/16 tyres fit a 1994 R129? I'm looking for something to use pro tem while I mull over what to do about the existing setup, which brings me on to my next question.
Secondly, the R129 in question currently has shabby 18 in Carlsson split rim wheels - according to the seller, "a £4000 option" - with 225/40/18 tyres on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear. Are they the right sizes to retain the OE rolling radius with 225/55/16s?
