'96 c36 W202 electric window woes

I used my car on Sunday, the driver window worked fine. I drove 100 miles with a break for 1 hour, then drove 100 miles back, and found the driver window wouldn't open. I have not found it to work since.

I listened to the door as I press the button and I could convince myself that I could hear something happening.

I haven't had any previous problme with the window before.

Has anyone got a where to start in an attempt to fix it? The Passenger window works fine. I am not certain if my model has canbus.

No CAN bus on your car as such,, a broken wire in the door ? the door card will have to come off and you will need a meter or a test lamp

Most likely the metal cabling has snapped inside the door, mines been like that for a year or so. I will get round to fixing it 1 day.

My driver's window refused to work once and it was because the cable for the puddle light that I fitted had somehow become stuck in the mechanism for the window!
