A Business

Good show Ian.
Life's full of ups and downs in all areas as I'm sure you're aware. Keep smiling and keep going forwards.

Best wishes for the next year or two..

Congrats, I know it's tough for anyone dealing with 'big' cars atm so you must be doing a lot of things right!

Kate

Hi Ian

Congrats on the two years!! I know it will continue because you care about your work and the cars you look after which is very rare in these current times.

well done my friend.
cheers

one day i'm sure one of my 124's will visit you!! Good luck for the following year! :bannana:

Well done buddy as a fellow Northern busines person I salute you - Now then you should thrive in this climate as people will be hanging onto cars for longer and looking for more economic servicing solutions - may I suggest a PRUDENT and considered advertising campaign as customers won now will be regulars when times pick up

Ian - do you ever advertise in Merc Enthusiast or the Gazette? i dont think i've ever seen any adverts....?

Congrats Ian and well done on birthday no.2. No doubt, my car and I'll be round to see you again shortly. Always a pleasure

Ian - do you ever advertise in Merc Enthusiast or the Gazette? i dont think i've ever seen any adverts....?
I had contemplated it, once. Until of course, I found out what it would probably cost . I know that one day I will do it. Its just finding THAT day :D

Ian what about loyalty / family / friend schemes - these cost little to implement and can really make a diff.

Rec a friend and get a ............... when the friend gets a service

Family - book two cars in at once and get a free ............ or an extra ........

On your 5th visit (any car) you get a ..................

Free MOT with any work over £? ............

Adverts in the free sheets if booked on closure day can be reasonable....
however free publicity is available eg Ian Walker of 124Works fixed the local hospices mini bus ( along those lines) in the free sheets etc.

Trouble is I bet your too busy to do anything to gain more biz - a classic case, once you do make the step to go punter fishing it can be addictive and then the problem is your growth spurt and cashflow

Hey Ian, Sorry about my time table. Recently I have been away more than I have been here. that's the way my job goes.

Lets do it again in your workshop, which to me is realistic, compared to the " showroom stuff".

Can help you out again, just need to be more specific on when you need me, and when I am available. Top Class.

maybe members who are members of the official Merc club (ie gazette) and have been to 124Works and are happy should send in a recommendation for the "good garage guide".

That guide seems really useful, unfortunatly living in scotland means most of the garages listed are too far away :(

its excellent to have a list of places that "know mercs" though.
