I did notice the following in their product description Alpha-bid does not offer tech support for this product.

I think you get what you pay for with these diagnostic systems and in this case ----NO BACKUP!!

LWIII Sir,

My own personal take ...

Firstly the "Notice" might encourage folks to chuck it in the bin - like a scammy parking ticket.

Secondly and far more importantly it does not have the company name shouting out at you (in a subtle way).

Yes - the contact details are there .... but for who or what?

If you had the company name more prominent/obvious then it would help.

And finally ..... how many 124 owners actually know that it's a 124? As opposed to an E-Class Mercedes?

Just my tuppence worth.

K

Agree with Kinky, also, one of the biggest things should be the brand of car, some may not put MB and Mercedes together, also define classic, let people know its their every day car you car treat with love and attention not gull wings.

I agree with what has already been said. One thought though having never been in Preston, would it be an idea to put the postal address on it somewhere. It may also be an idea to drop the quotation marks as it unnecessary and looks out of place, especially as the middle section is with out punctuation.

The website looks well by the way, but I did find it difficult when navigating around the sales pages. Maybe more than four or five items could be placed on a page together. The next button is extremely hard to find as it is dwarfed by the picture boxes. You could maybe enlarge the next button and centralize it on the page.

Sorry just my thoughts.

Ask questions then give em the answer!

Heres my suggestion IAN .

124 WORKS

GOT A CLASSIC MERCEDES BENZ?

FED UP WITH HIGH SERVICING COSTS?

WANT TO TALK TO THE MECHANIC SERVICING YOUR CAR?

WANT SOMEONE WHO WILL TREAT IT WITH THE CARE IT DESERVES?

Then follow on with " Then next time it needs etc , etc"
Definitely use the company logo as the top heading on all your documentation even flyers.

edit:- the purpose behind this is
1. get your prospective customers immediate attention, posing a question can help, but there are other ways.
2. try to show why your particular company is different/better from the rest.

Hi Ian,
I see you have achieved STICKY STATUS onthe "dark side" :D :D http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=21110

he must have friends in high places then?;)

Mind you, I am sure they are only doing it to help out other members, if you see what I mean. Had they done it to help Ian's commercial business they would have breached thier own rules..........

yes I have seen the sticky on the "Dark Side" :D I must be doing something right or have High Powered associates, for the want of better words. My flyers are going to be changed as suggested, they look a whole lot better. To add to my services I now have use of a CNC Milling Machine so Cylinder Head surfacing is another option.

Great buy, especially at that price!
