A few snaps of my CL 55 AMG

like this !!!!

The CL with the front end of the W220 would have been ideal.

Like this one, I think it should have looked like this from factory. :thumb:

I am seriously thinking of doing this, I have owned my CL for over 8 years now and think its time to do an update. Front end parts are cheap enough to do the conversion at a reasonable cost.

Although I think it is the way the CL should have been, it wasn't.

Please don't destroy one great car to make it look like something never produced.

A close neighbour who has started car trading has had a CL600 in his driveway for a few weeks. Keep watching his website, but yet to see it appear.

Must keep hands in pocket.....

It's just a thought, purely because I have owned my car for soooooo long. I can't part with it as its the most reliable car I have (fixed everything at least twice over the 8 years). A "facelift" would be a cheap option in today's car market.

Nothing like a 600 to get bankrupt at warp speed.;)

dude this is sweet,i love cl's .... was looking at a black one a few months back but my main concern is that i wouldn't be able to fit it in my garage.

Even faster in a 600-Biturbo.

Do they really only have the same performance as a 55-AMG?

My father has both a bi turbo w220 and a 55k w215.

The 600 bi turbo feels faster in a seat of pants test.

I have often wondered about the published figures and whether the bi turbo was underrated so that it didn't beat the AMG in top trumps.

In the 55 you're more aware of some speed due to the sound track. The eerie silence of the bi turbo is disturbing at warp speed.

Both are cars that are too fast for uk roads and truly belong on the autobahn.
Good for smoking some chump in his porsche though!

Pre facelift;
CL55 N/A AMG: 360bhp

CL600: 367bhp

Post facelift;

CL55K AMG: 500bhp

CL600: 500bhp

A lot of people on the us forum say the bi turbo does the quarter mile faster than the 55k... Would be good to see a video.

MAff cracked 207mph in his 65 Bi-turbo on the 'Bhan before his Mrs got too jittery.

WOW. This picture really shows what the styling was all about. I really like CL cars and silver is the best colour for them.

I must disagree. Tanzanite :cool: is by far the best colour for the CL. IMHO of course. :thumb::thumb:

Charles I must agree, the rear is of exceptional design, absolutely stunning. Not sure about the Citroen :eek: comparison and the front I must admit is a disappointment.

The W215 is the best Coupe Mercedes have ever produced in the modern era.

Stunning looking car, I have a feeling I may own one of these after I am bored of my CLS
