Two choices really
Take the cowards way out and flee this cesspit or stay and fight to get back the nation we once had. I'm staying .

Enforcement of the rules.

Oh i got it wrong.
I though it was about reducing speed.
Okay enforcement means no one cares if x amount get killed so long as we can enforce the rule of law which says £60 for speed.
So i can speed anywhere as long as i can pay the fine and the rule is still enforced or if my dad is a retired copper

Yes, you got it wrong. ;)

Enforcement of the law is an important aspect of a lawful society. Not the only aspect of course.

And saying that some parts of the law are not properly enforced does not constitute an argument against any enforcement of any law.

Is life really this rubbish for some folk? I find it so funny some people get so wound up over drivel like this; I worry more about rats in my back garden eating my bird food

Thats good to hear.

Now which shower of sh*t will you be voting for?

I am sure you are aware the 80% of the council costs comes direct from the government and not the council tax! But at least the parking fee will pay for the roads gritting. Unless everyone parks legally, then they will have to do a Ken and mission creep it, so that even if you are legally parked, if your car has a Carbon Emission range that just happens to include almost all of todays cars, they can charge for parking a enviromental destroyer in a parking space, to earn some money.

The council tax days are numbered! Unless you consider it fair to have someone with a 5 bed house pay several thousand more than I do, even tho we both get the same, 1 bin emptied every week or so?

well i hope they will just come out and say that we are here to enforce the law and not to reduce speed as clearly the speed is not being reduced and lives are not being saved.

It's a fair point. You know that I am dead against breaking the speed limit, but it has to be said that the evidence that cameras reduce speeding is rather dodgy. However, strong enforcement does have a deterring effect and therefore I have no objection against hidden speed traps. Cameras in a few places where people know they are does not reduce speeding, it only makes them brake (sharply ) when they see one.

But the knowledge that you would have a very high chance of being caught anywhere whenever you speed could potentially change behaviour. It has worked certainly in Belgium where much stronger enforcement combined with astronomical fines has reduced speeding over the last number of years.

dead right there.
Works in holland as well where they have them in blue bins sometimes.
Anyway i am sure that speeding / parking tickets have a less than .1% of dropping on my doormat.

And that is because i do not have one.

I hope he does. Why should he pay good money to fund those leftist, flower-power new media types of that socialist rat hole? :D

Well thats good, as the Conservatives intend to give the money to ITV and CH4 too. Apprently reducing the amount that the Beeb gets will help them get better, and will of course have no impact in helping stem the flow of revenue away from ITV now that Sky has a million channels all using up valuable Ad money!

And the Liberals want to raise your income tax too.

So lets see. Labour want to tax you if you earn more money than the next door neighbour, and expect you to give it to them (Distribution of wealth). The torys want to give you all the money, but expect to pay more for everything (Distribution of wealth), and the liberals want to charge you more for what you already get so we can pay for more people to come and enjoy what we have (Distribution of wealth)!

I think I see a pattern emerging here. Hmm....
