A question to the criminally minded amongst us...

...and cooked the fish??:o

All we ever do is drive one car tight to the garage door same as every night and leave a stair light on, not a living room or kitchen light as its rare for one to be on at 2am in the morning, but with the stair light someone comes up to the windows and looks in they will see the faint light and assume someone is in.

Mainly its not obviously different from the norm.

Move to sunny Torquay :D

Buy a Skoda

Get one car to block the garage. Put it up on stands and take the wheels off. Take the battery out too, as suggested above, to disable the alarm.

As for timers, I'd bet the risk of failure is minimal. Getting the mail cleared (or redirected to a trusted neighbour?) and faking bin activity are good ideas. Also, get someone to cut the grass.

My neighbour puts valuables etc into storage. If I get burgaled ( TWICE SO FAR ) I usually comfort Madame and then get practical and get the brochures etc for the replacement stuff.
That is terrible... I feel for you and it is so wrong
