Probably the cable to one of the sensors or the sensor itself is dirty or misplaced.

if it comes on more than iirc seven times - the ecu will remember why and tell the system what it thinks is wrong.

next tiime its on - pull straight into your dealer and demand a diagnostic test - there and then - and explain that you have had to come back several times tio show them etc etc

It's probably the brake switch, a new one costs under a tenner and is apparently very easy to replace, you could try that if you fancy some cheap DIY :)

001 545 01 09 - but that might be yank-spec only - but i doubt they change them

back of the brake pedal at the top. you should be able to see it if you climb in 'upside-down' so your head is in the pedals ;)

Yes, that's the right number, item description is Switch, cost £8.11 inc VAT. I know because I got one to fix my ABS light - It didn't though

It ended up being a Speed sensor @ £35.00 + £18.00 for fitting at my local independant garage.

Good luck & keep us posted.

It could also be a front wheel RPM sensor. The best way is to get your car on a star diagnostics system and do a quick diagnostics.

Id also like to state while the ABS light is on, your car will have no ABS function untill you turn off your car and start it again (assuming the light goes out)

Mine did this until the tiny sensor next to the brake pad was replaced...
