Actual Full Capacity of Fuel Tank for W208 CLK ?

Does anyone here know the ACTUAL fuel tank capacity for a CLK 230K W208?
I stupidly managed to run out of fuel and was wondering what the full tank capacity actually is. The manual say 62 litres - but does that exclude the reserve tank of 5 Litres (to a total of 67 litres) or is that inclusive of the reserve tank ?

Casting my mind back to when I had a CLK: the total size of the tank was 62L. The empty warning light would then come on when there was 5L remaining.

hi tjs welcome to the forum i think you will find its 62 litres including the reserve tank i think next time you go out you better have a spare petrol can in the boot

Typically the warning light comes on when the computer says I have 7-8 l left.

Typically the warning light comes on when the computer says I have 7-8 litres left. What happened the time I ran dry was the computer showing 7 litres left and I was on the way to the pumps. Fortunately I was within 2km from the pumps, on a cool day, when I came to a spluttering stop.

My owner manual says 62ltrs(incl.reserve),however i never let my tank get any lower than reserve(when light comes on)before refuelling,i guess it can't do the car much good letting it run dry allbeit unintentional

book is wrong

Mine book also says 62 with reserve, but I have even put 70l on empty tank. Last 10 litres was put very dificult and slow because of foam of diesel....
Just now I put 60 liter and fuel gauge was on 1/4.. I notice that when fuel gauge is on 1/2 , I can put 42-45 litres which is much more tah half....
car is CLK 270 CDI from 2004

W208 is 62l inc reserve but on a couple of occasions when I have brimmed mine it's taken over 64l

62 litres is the capacity of the tank, this is to allow for expansion etc, if you get more in then you have overfilled it, no big deal I always brim mine and got about 64 litres in it once from empty (nearly), you probably get a litre in the filler neck.

Not directly related to capacity but mine has refused to pick up fuel despite the gauge showing 8 litres, so tread carefully at that end of the gauge!
