Age of MB Drivers.....

With one or two exceptions, you're all a good deal younger than I imagined!
I was in my 50's when I bought my first MB and am now on my 5th. That's as much as I'm letting on. ;)

I was 47 when I bought my first Mercedes, a 1995 C180 Elegance, manual. I had it for 3 years, bought the CLK 230, 6 speed manual 5 years ago. So I am 55, going on 18!
I had a Skoda Felicia before the C 180, big mistake, hated it!

50. New to MB last August.

Got my first Merc just ahead of turning 40 (I wanted to have one whilst being 40 - a sad but achievable bucket list type thing)
Seen as a grown up car / marquee, not an old mans car.

Had the excellent c class coupe 220CDI with the sequetronic gearbox for 3 years (touring car gear changes!:bannana:)

After 5 years of scratching the convertible itch with a remapped Saab turbo (that epic 3rd gear!) I now have, at 47, scratched the itch for a V6 with the CLK

The only car I could have put in front of the missus was a Merc (she's the same age)

I will have this past 50 all things being equal

I had my first Mercedes when I was 29, an SLK 250CDI. Recently switched across to a C350e on a 2 year lease. I feel older driving the C-Class already!

I'm 37, form 2007 1989-Mercedes 420 SEC, in meantime (2008-2009) 1999-E200 ,(2013-2015) 2013-E220 Sport and (2015-...)2015-E220 Blutec.

Old Geezer, 52!

CLK 240 A209 Convertible. Age 42

I'm 24

Bought my first MB at 20, 2008 C Class C200K Sport.

Took delivery of my CLA45 2 month ago.

Absolutely in love! I think MB have suited the needs of younger drivers as well as older drivers throughout the last 10 years.

Bought first MB at 42, (for swmbo) A140 avantgarde, we've still got it, although it has been passed onto our daughter.
I bought the CL500 at 54, a couple of months ago.

Have you had any head gasket problems with the MG?

Genuine question by the way. Not being a smarta**e.
It had the HG done at 75k & has now done 120k with no problems.
People rubbish these cars because of this, but you can get the HG done inc. new cambelt & tensioner, water pump & coolant for £400!
Try that with a Merc!

currently 28 with a CLS 320CDI

at 26 I had a brand new facelift c250 amg 125 coupe in pearl white

however at 19 had a 4.6v8 Range Rover p38 HSE, and many many cars inbetween including a v10 touerag and a few Nissan Silvias and Skylines and RX7s

:)

Bought my first MB at 37 (a 300CE) to console myself when the first wife did a runner...
Then bought another 300CE followed by a C32 estate
Now running a CLS55 at the grand old age of 52 :)

81! I was going to wait until this thread got to the page the same as my age but decided that may take too long....

After over 50 years of driving - the last 20 in Volvos - my first Merc was an 05 C320cdi (Advantage) Estate in 2007. Fell for it so hard that bought same C320cdi Elegance Estate new in 08. Still going strong (car and me) but both showing signs of parts wearing out (car and me). Easy but costly to repair (car); not sure about me. Now waiting for my C320e Estate. Truly a last Hurrah!

Currently have my first MB e class coupe bough this when I was 31.
Before that had a audi a4 both really good cars. When I first had got the merc I had issues with engine juddering only in first but fingers crossed it's not happening as much now perhaps it's fixing it's self
