Sounds like a dumb question again, but I figured I would ask just in case.

My c126 has two air conditioning gas service ports. Being the older style, they are the same thread!

One is at the front by the radiator area and is connected to a skinnier pipe.

The other is at the back nearer to the firewall, near the windshield washer fluid bottle and engine compartment/battery compartment diving wall. That's connected to the skinnier pipe.

So, am I right in assuming that the front (skinnier pipe) port by the radiator is the HIGH pressure side?

And the rear (fatter pipe) connector closer to the firewall is the LOW pressure side?

Thanks!

Correct, in aircon and refrigeration the narrower pipe is always the high pressure side, the larger pipe is called the suction pipe and is low pressure, you always charge through this one.

Yay, thanks! Solved!
