All about the purchase of my 500E

But not new to the 124.036.. that garage is near hessle, right ?

I didn't see anything about bearings, I may have missed it.
Also, did your shop check the frame or measurements ?

I have seen some cars that had the complete suspension rebuilt, and still had issues, because the frame was slightly twisted in a crash.
If your car had very worn tires when you got it, then you might want to have a look at this point.

A few other things that I can't really explain.. But I hope you can get to the root of this. Its not very safe to drive a 1.7 ton car at high speed with such an issue.

Sorry I have not been on here for some time. Last off we had a suspected wiring harness issue ( Sept 2009 ). So what happened since then, well...................

Found a reputable mechanic in Brigg, north lincs so took the car to him ( November 2009 ) and left it in his care. A new upper wiring harness was ordered from Germany through MK, which took a few weeks to come.

This was fitted some 5 weeks after that as he was also busy refurbing his bays. Once the job was done it was then down to me to get the car shipped from Brigg to Doncaster, to have the gear box rebuiolt by a specialist there.

The car ended up being in Brigg for quite some time until I eventually got it to Doncaster. More parts had to be ordered which took some time to come from Germany and then finally after a few more months I finally went and collected the car 3 weeks ago.

I was really worried about what sort of state it was going to be in having been away for so long, but surprisingly not. Gave her a quick wash and it looks great

Its time to get rid now anyway, which I am going to find very difficult to do

Whats it worth? Every penny I spent on it!

I will put a new post on soon with full details of car, all work done since ownership etc

here's another pic for now though
