if anyone is interested ive just found a site where you can pick your car,model,colour(limited colours),different wheels and wheel sizes and view them on your actual car for reference. this type of page may exist already but i havent come across anything similar, so here is the link

There are actually quite a few of those things around. Rondell offer one on their german website, tirerack have one with some popular wheels on it and here is an OEM one:
