Not an urban myth - just a scene from a rather peurile American movie called "Porky's" from the 1980's, involving the same prank being played on the barmaid at a diner.

No urban myth, we did it to a girl who worked in my office at BT in about 1978, she walked round the entire office looking for him it was so funny most of us were in tears. She must have forgiven me because I went out with her after that
There used to be a Professor Bates at the local unversity. One time one of his students found out he was arriving at the airport. He got the airport to announce ' Would Professor Bates and his son Master Bates please report to reception' !!
