A **** heap
just really need some info to put my mind at rest really,
i have had my normal alloys replaced with some amg monoblocks

i had the fitting guide checked to make sure they fitted using this link:
Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd | Fitting Chart Index

and the say 18x8 ET31 225/40R18 all round is fine

the one i have on there right now say 18x8 ET31 235/40R18

the rears look fine but the front stick over the arches by about 3mm..??
is this because of the tyres are incorrect...? and i need to change them to 225's..? as this means a 10mm difference..?

looking down above the front arch :

thanks guys

yes change the tyres on the front are the mono blocks staggered or no if so

what ever size you fit in front you should go up two sizes for rear like; 225 front 245 rear

if they are not staggered then i think 225 's would be fine

looks good, you need 225/40 for the fronts, then the camber will take care of the rest as it will camber into the arches.

so just change the front tyres and leave the rear...?

Wheels and tryes now sorted (fronts 225/40 18 rears 235/40 18).

I thought if going the staggered route, the profile of the tyre should be different. 225/45/17 at the front and 245/40/17 at the rear, for example.

By the way, is your CLK lowered?

yeah if they was staggered that would be the tyre specs...
so not a good idea to have 235/40 rear and 225/40 fronts..?

nope not lowered (yet).

looking into having it lowered, would you go down the full kit way or just have the springs changed..? to lower it 30/40mm

A tad lower and it will look perfect IMO :thumb:

Are you using a staggered setup or not? If you original post you say they are all 18x8 ET31

i would lower it 40mm all round, but if you like a agressive stance, you will not achive this with just springs i think the front might/will still be a bit to high.. the rear will be fine though...it already looks to be lowered are you sure its stock?

^^ Agree with this. It does look lowered to me. Maybe got different spring pads??

ET31 all round non staggered set up,
Fronts 225/40 18
rear 235/40 18
