Anyone picked up a '10' plate today?

I had 8 '10' plates go out yesterday and another 5 today and 3 more tommorow. Not as busy as last September but still good. I have only seen one other 10 plate on the road and that was a Range Rover.

This is probably a really stupid question but can you order a BMW bike from any BMW dealer or do they have BMW Motorbike dealers? I've never noticed a BMW motorbike dealer anywhere.

They are a separate chain of dealers - though some of the motorbike dealerships are associated with BMW car dealers and are sometimes co-located.

I thought one of the benefits of the "new" method of registration number layout was to do away with number plate snobbishness.
Seems not to have worked.

The SMMT bitched about the September peak, so they got 2 plates per year (plus of course we were running out of letters).

Now they have 2 peaks.

Mission accomplished.

As an aside, if you didn't know the plates have geographical significance there's a list here:

I've got the number plate CL1O CAR on retention, I was after CL1O CUP seeing as I'm racing in the CLIO cup next year but it had already been taken.

Just need a 10 reg car now!

Renault dealer yesterday said they were busy. Was certainly chaos in the car park (co located with Kia and another manufacturer though).

Mechanic was complaining, that they are now reliable, but as yet still suffering from old reputation. Result is less warranty work and fewer cars meaning even less work.

60, because September counts up from 51, and March counts up from 02. So 2011 will be 11 in March and 61 in September, and on it goes until we run out again
