Just stayed the night in the the very nice Brooklands hotel and am gearing myself up for my half day SLS experience that my girlfriend bought me for my birthday. Firstly this hotel is lovely...I highly recommend it based on the few hours ive spent in it! I am easily bought though...its got huge ultra modern rooms...indeed the whole hotel is uber contemporary and is just the sort of place that appeals to me! I particularly love the jars of spark plugs in the minimalist reception and the fact that the pattern of the slate floor is followed through exactly into the lift!

I know the '1/2 day' experience is 2 hours in a 'common' AMG ;) and an hour in the SLS but that isn't containing my excitement! I'm picking up my C63 from D:Class afterwards but will I want it back after the SLS :dk:

I'm actually going to see if I can get an AMG experience to keep the other half entertained for an hour or so instead of making her watch me for the entire 3 hours...lol, for anyone thats met Vicki, you'll appreciate the seeing her going sideways will be hilarious

:bannana: Have fun, do it Jeremy Clarkson style.

Have fun mate and see if you can get some pic or a video :thumb:

Good times cobber!! Pics please.....

Sounds great, I had a regular AMG experience last year which was great. I got my wife a 4x4 experience to keep her busy which she really enjoyed.

Sounds like its going to be a blast! Our lass would be telling me she could do it better than I can. She forgets that she doesn't have a driving license or even know how to drive properly... women!

Did you not get my PM Andrew ?

I was there this morning and saw an SLS being delivered. Shame I have to leave for London now else I would have popped back (My office is next to the entrance). Enjoy!

Ha! I was there this morning, too. Maybe it was you driving that SLS that was there Palmball? I had a 1 hour AMG experience. Slightly peeved, as I'd asked for the E63AMG Estate when I booked, yet I was given a CLS63 with no word of explanation. That handling circuit isn't anywhere near long enough - I only managed around 90mph max! There was also a lovely black 300SL gullwing being driven round the handling circuit - DRIVING it?!! I'll try and post some pics later.

He is having the headlining done in Alcantara. He phoned me earlier and said David had shown him photo's of my CL's Alcantara's headlining.

I told him he will be very pleased with the outcome. I compaired the work that David did with my S-Class's factory fitted Alcantara as good as. Andrew is on his way the Nurburgring to have his suspension tuned.

I'm looking to do my headlining in black Alcantara, problem is the switch panels and a few other bits are all light grey, anyone know if you can get these from MB in black?

Paul

Yes, part numbers end with ES2 code 9051, valid for Y90 Designo black cloth headlining
