Audio 10 no longer works with steering controls

Hello,

I've swapped out my aftermarket unit from my CLK W208 and replaced it with the original Audio10 unit. All works fine (after inputting the 5 digit security code), BUT the steering controls do not work, and the multi-function driver display just shows dashes. On the back of the Audio 10 I have connected just two cables (plus the aerial), and the top set of pins are not connected to anything. There does not appear to be any wires un connected.

Any thoughts?

You have not connected the CAN bus connector which is not used on the aftermarket unit, look for another connector which has probably dropped down when not in use.
