Having successfully worked out that MP3 files @ 320kps is the best option for this, I would like to know who uses what size of memory stick / HDD on their Audio 20 unit.

The brochure suggests that 32GB is the maximum size - do we know any different ?

I've just changed from a 16GB to a 32GB which seemed to work OK, though yesterday it came up with a message "No USB" I haven't been out to have a fiddle with it yet, but 32GB was working fine.

I have the older type Audio 20. Not too sure about the new fangled MP3 stuff. As long as I can get the Home Service on the wireless, I'm quite happy.

That's a bit upmarket, what's wrong with the Light Programme :D

I have been using a 32GB USB stick for the last few months with no problem. Over a thousand tracks and still loads of space, can't beat it in my opinion

I've also discovered that I hate the fact that MP3s won't play in a gapless fashion.

This makes listening to live albums or albums with continuing tracks a bit infuriating ....

Audio 20 in your car will play mp3 from disc. You would need the optional media interface for USB connectivity.

Can you advise what make/model USB stick you are using and what format it is (Fat32 or whatever?) and also if you can what allocation size it's formatted with?

I have been trying to use a Kingston 64Gb and a 32Gb with no success, just get the 'No USB' message whereas an old 2Gb stick belonging to my son works fine.

Thanks

I have a 32GB in mine formatted FAT32 which works most of the time, on odd occasions it says no USB, but usually sorts itself with a quick unplug and reinsertion. The previous 16GB one never did that.

when playing music via USB, are you guys able to get notifications via Bluetooth form a connected phone. (eg CamerAlert/Waze)

what year did they fit a USB to the Audio 20?
