Give me strength.....

My E-class is for sale on Auto trader for approx £5000.

the calls I've had leave me amazed. are there really so many people that dum!!

the general scenerio are questions that can be answered by reading the advert or looking at the photos...

What colour is it?

Does it have leather seats?

is it Mot'd?

I politely answer, and offer additional information, yet still they have decided that its too far to travel or will call back again.

Why did they call?

Paul

PS - WHY CAN'T I SELL IT!!!

Paul

If you had given us more detail, like model and year, miles, condition etc etc we may be able to offer constructive comment/advice/opinions - I suppose a bit like your callers really !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure, sometimes I just take down the number and ring a few in one go, or later in the day, or ask simply to check the info is correct on the advert before going to view.

Have you tried piston heads?

Its free, post lots of pics and give a long description.

Price wise how does it compare to others? is it high miles or less popular colour??

post a link to the add we can have a look

welcome to selling cars....

tell me about it!!

I haven't had one serious caller yet and been advertising for over a month!!

Been offered £16500 from a mb dealer up north and I guess I may as well take that now.... (dropped their offer from last month though!).

#Humph!

Mr Splang,

I would lurve to buy your car - seriously. No ifs, no buts.

However, currently, although I have dosh in the bank, I am unemployed.

If I get a job before you've sold it, I'll come and talk to you.

Seriously.

Try selling a boat.....I have had two people wanting it ...but then pulling out for various reasons -- nothing to do with the boat -- but changes in their personal lives...........

I find selling cars on Ebay a living nightmare.

I got fed up of the t055ers on there asking "How fast does it go?"

"Will you swap for a skate board?" etc

You never answered by question by the way - will you swap it for a skateboard or not?:bannana::bannana::bannana:

The registration document clearly states it's Emmas car. NOT MINE!!

I am saving up for a proper car. Still 8k short.

Hello,

Have to say I've had no problem so far selling any car, used e-bay once and it sold for a buy it now (way more than I thought) and used Piston heads and had a call within 3 hrs.

I've used autotrader in the past and always list as much info as possible, owners, millage, tax, test, colour, service, spec, etc etc

post the link to you add and we will vet it... :)

PS - WHY CAN'T I SELL IT!!!

Try putting it in The Sunday Times. You can do it online, if the advert is below a certain number of words/lines it is free.

I put my last car in there just to test the water as it was free, sold the car within a couple of weeks:bannana:

Hello,

Have to say the Add look fine therfore I can only imagine compared to others its too exspensive??

I like the fact its family owned and has a nice spec.

From the add I guess you really want £5k its a daft thing but maybe pitch it at £4999 as it 'looks' a lot less, but then you would have to aceept an offer less than that.

Check prices against similar cars and see how yours is pitched thats all I could suggest.

Good luck
